Sketch It Out with Claudia& Emma #7

It’s that time again, where myself and Claudia use a sketch of a page as a jumping off point in our scrapping!

So this week it was my turn to choose the sketch to work from. I found the sketch below on the Shimelle blog and thought it was pretty unusual as there was one big element in the middle that draws your attention and then three photos!

For my layout, I used the sketch more as inspiration than a blueprint and ended up using one photo that was slightly smaller than 6″x4″.

Everything I used on this layout was from the Maggie Holmes Shine collection that can in this month’s like for ever kit! It is such a gorgeous collection which, as it turns out, Claudia used for her Sketch It Out layout too!

I used lots of pieces from the Maggie Holmes Shine collection ephemera pack to build up the cluster to the left hand side of the photo, which also helped to mimic the sketch by stretching across the page.

The splatters were created using a Tim Holtz Mini ink pad in Abandoned Coral which is a gorgeous pinky/peach colour.

I hope you enjoyed the post and if you would like to see the full process then the YouTube video will be linked below!

I also encourage you to check out Claudia’s video, her layouts are incredible!
