Inspiration can come from all kinds of places, for me its mostly online places. For example, a great source of inspiration for me is different Facebook Groups. I am a part of quite a few different Facebook Groups which is great for a few reasons.
- Talking to people: It’s great to be able to chat to people who have the same interests as you. If you join a scrappy kind of group, you can guess what most of the discussion is going to be about. I love it! Discussions range from product, to a problem or to general encouragement.
- Share your work: The Facebook groups are a fantastic place to share your work – and don’t be afraid to share it either! People are so encouraging and they love to see your pages too! This is also where the inspiration comes from, see what other people are doing with products you might have too!
- Connecting: It’s very easy to think sometimes that you are the only person in the world that does this hobby – well my dear, that is simply not true. There are thousands of us all over the world, and by connecting with people in the different Facebook Groups, you might even find some people closer to home! ❤
Ok, so I’ve sold you on the idea of a group, if you weren’t already! The next question is which ones to join.
Note: The following groups are all ‘Closed Groups’ which means you will need to request to join and wait for the admins to accept you. 🙂
Scrapaholics Anonymous has over 8,000 members (told you you were’t the only one!) and was originally started by Adele Toomey a.k.a Inkie Quill
I love this group as there is always someone posting and sharing or starting a discussion. It’s a really active group!
Victoria Marie FB Group has nearly 2,000 members and is run by Youtuber Victoria Marie.
This group is great because Victoria is incredibly active in the group with starting discussions or polls and sharing work.
Scrap Gals Community is run by the Scrap Gals themselves, Tracie Claiborne and Tiffany Lowder.
This is such a lovely group for discussion. The admins, Tracie and Tiffany, aim to keep the group as more of a message board vibe and keep the sharing of layouts to a daily share thread. I love that though because some of the conversations are really in-depth and interesting to read and get involved in!
Personally though, my very favourite group is the Like For Ever Subscribers group. This is a Facebook Group especially for subscribers to the Like For Ever kits and is such a lovely corner of the internet. As a result of being a part of the group I have been to retreats and crops and met the people I chat to all the time on the tinterwebs! If you are in the UK and would like to subscribe to a kit, I would highly recommend Like For Ever! ❤
If you’re not already, I really hope to see you in some of these Facebook Groups soon! ❤
Until next time lovelies,
